Hackney Gardens: Teaming up with a specialist in partnering projects
This unique development of 58 departments is part of a church redevelopment, and was built by Thornsett, a specialist in partnering projects that has previously worked alongside charities, youth clubs, livery companies and free schools.
Hackney Gardens is built on a prime heritage site adjacent to a listed church, St John at Hackney, and includes a community centre as well as a number of properties for church workers.
What was our involvement?
We were involved from the start, acting as consultants in the pre-construction phase and assisting with specification advice and market insights. Through a dedicated team, we helped with the early-stage strategy of the development, bringing area and development expertise to the project.
We built a unique marketing experience including fly-through video, multiple CGIs and a model of the development. This was delivered through a series of pre-launch events where we took over a local gallery space and partnered with local businesses Palm Vaults, Les Nennettes and the Hackney Brewery to deliver an experiential introduction to both the development and the area.
What did we achieve for the developers?
Our input in the early stages of the design and marketing processes enabled us to create a customer journey built around local partnerships, leading to a personal connection to the scheme for buyers that helped us achieve a high level of off–plan sales.
The investment we made in finding the right buyers for this particular development meant that we were able to achieve £950 per square foot for our developers.
