Hoxton is hipster central with some of the coolest bars in the city and now increasingly popular with families as the schools have improved so much. It's where the East End district meets art and tech industries hence the wide demographic of locals. The streets of Victorian and Edwardian terraces spell well-heeled today and Hoxton Station is on the Overground, with 24-hour weekend services, just one stop from Shoreditch High Street and two stops from Whitechapel with its interchange with the tube. You'll find that most people walk to where they work and socialise. Hoxton Street Market is traditional and the perfect foil for trendy cafes and delis but you can still get pie and mash at Cooke's. Columbia Road Flower Market is the must-do Sunday activity where you can eat a fab brunch too. Haggerston Park is for fitness freaks with its outdoor gyms and sports pitches.

Hoxton Hall is Grade II listed Victorian music hall and now the home of contemporary performances ranging from live music to stand up comedy.
